Sunday Daytime Activities

City Tour

Outside Leeds City Museum
Millenium Square

11.30am until approx 1.30 (then you will be led to the next venue via a bus journey)

Even though she no longer lives in Leeds and is now gracing the dancefloors of Oxford, Helena will be doing one of her (in)famous guided tours of Leeds.  If you’ve ever done one of Helena’s tours, you know that it’ll be a tour with a difference and you will learn many interesting things about Leeds – hurrah!

Sunday Chill Out

Bennett Road

Sunday afternoon hangout and dancing venue. At this venue we have got a dance hall, a break out space with board games and a ping pong table with seating outside! Hopefully the weather will be good, so we can also use the outdoor space to enjoy the sunshine.

The cafe will be open for hot and cold drinks as well as a selection of sweet treats.

There is a small car park available, and a small amount of street parking nearby.

7.30pm – 11.30pm

Dancing! Cake! Live Music! Dancing! More cake!

It’s a bank holiday, so as well as the normal Saturday night party, there is also a big Sunday night party! No Way!? Yes way.

The Sunday evening party is taking place in another *beautiful* historic setting. This church has recently been restored for use an arts venue, and we love to support this fabulous cause.

We are rather excited that our band for the Sunday evening dance will be the Basin Street Brawlers from London!  Playing for dancers in Leeds for the first time, we can’t wait!

Oh and by the way, during this event you can help yourself from the Altar of Cake (Hallelujah!). This is the epicentre of cake over the weekend, and basically it’s down to you. Please do some baking (in a clean hygienic environment) and bring it in to share with all the other lovely dancers.

The bar will be open so you have something to wash down the cake with! Please do not bring your own alcohol to this event.

We will be operating a car share system to help you get to the afterparty at Crowd of Favours (below), but there is also a bus that will get you there!

12.00am – 3.30am!

One after party wasn’t enough? Still moving? Well welcome to The Afterparty II (Revenge of the Beat!) More of the same, a big mix of different music, wonderful people, a bar and whatever cake/picnic food/random snacks haven’t been eaten yet.

Just round the corner from last year’s Sunday afterparty, the Crowd of Favours is another great Leeds Brewery pub.  If anyone’s been to Underbeat Blues in recent times, you’ll know this place!  But this time, we’ll have the run of the place, so come along and dance your heart out until the wee hours (or just come and sleep in a corner – whatevs)!
